Vitapower
In 2023, Hortipower’s success expanded with the acquisition of a neighboring horticultural company, which was renamed Vitapower. The new company was revitalized and immediately began growing tomatoes according to the same principles of innovation and sustainability that characterize Hortipower. Vitapower quickly proved to be a success, with the company becoming increasingly integrated into the operations of both Hortipower and Tomeco.
John Vermeiren and Dirk Van den Plas, founders of Hortipower, will continue to be involved with Vitapower, in addition to their key roles in influential Belgian horticultural organizations. As proud members of Tomeco, they actively contribute to the sector’s progress, with a focus on sustainability and innovation.
At Vitapower, it’s all about pure flavor. One of their favorite uses? A bowl of steaming tomato soup, packed with San Marzano tomatoes—simple, yet full of character.
