Where Harvest and Expertise Come Together
The proud Tomeco growers—all of them Belgian family-owned businesses—each grow their tomatoes with the same passion for flavor and quality. After harvest, the tomatoes from our various greenhouses are brought together at Tomeco Services, our central sorting and packing hub in Hoogstraten.
Here, we bring together not only our harvest, but also the knowledge, experience, and quality standards of all our growers. In this way, as individual family-owned businesses, we come together to form a single, strong organization. Tomeco Services serves as the direct link to our commercial partner, Coöperatie Hoogstraten.
Knowledge Grows Alongside Us
in Our Greenhouses
At our cultivation sites, we are constantly gathering knowledge about varieties, cultivation, and energy consumption. We evaluate approximately 100 trial varieties simultaneously, in collaboration with Wageningen University & Research and the Flemish Experimental Garden Centers. Our energy consumption is also continuously monitored and adjusted. Just like our tomatoes, this data and these insights come together at Tomeco Services, where we share them with the entire grower group.

After harvest, the tomatoes from our various greenhouses are brought together at Tomeco Services. There, they are carefully inspected and sorted according to strict quality standards based on factors such as color and size. This is how we turn different harvests into a single, uniform, and reliable Tomeco product line.

Custom Packaging
Tailored to the Customer and Product
After inspection and sorting, we package our delicious tomatoes entirely according to the customer’s specifications. From retail packaging to bulk boxes: at Tomeco Services, every product receives the right packaging for sale and distribution through Coöperatie Hoogstraten. In doing so, we use recycled and recyclable materials and packaging solutions as much as possible.

Our certified growing sites supply tomatoes to Tomeco Services, where we inspect, sort, and package them according to established procedures and standards. Independent audits ensure compliance, so customers can count on safe, reliable tomatoes with a transparent origin.
✓ Certified processes – Tomeco Services is IFS- and QS-certified, among other certifications, and complies with strict international standards for food safety and quality assurance.
✓ Certified growing sites – All of our growing operations are certified under GlobalG.A.P. and GRASP, among other standards, with a focus on safe, high-quality cultivation and good working conditions.
✓ Independently audited – Our operations are regularly audited in accordance with IFS, QS, ACS, and Chain of Custody standards.
✓ Full traceability – Thanks to our Chain of Custody certification, we can trace every batch of tomatoes back to the grower and the original growing location.

Tomeco Services is located on the premises of Coöperatie Hoogstraten, our commercial partner. An innovative, automated conveyor line transports our packaged tomatoes directly to the loading docks at Coöperatie Hoogstraten, from where they continue on to the end customer. In this way, cultivation, processing, and marketing together form a single, short, and efficient supply chain.
✓ One location, a short supply chain – The direct connection reduces internal transportation and ensures the quick delivery of our fresh tomatoes.
✓ Directly to the loading docks – An automated conveyor belt transports the packaged products directly to Coöperatie Hoogstraten without any detours.
✓ Combined expertise – From sustainable cultivation, quality, packaging, and traceability to sales and distribution: everyone contributes their expertise to a strong supply chain.
